Some of my most recent Cakes!! I LOVE making cakes!!!!

A 3-D pumpkin cake. White cake with buttercream icing. Chocolate cupcakes were made as well, but I forgot to get pics of them. They were adorable!!

A 3-tiered baby shower cake for Miss Molly. White, Strawberry and Chocolate cake with buttercream icing and fondant decor.

Turned out to be a GREAT cake!!

A two-tiered Strawberry shortcake cake for the birthday girl. Of course it was Strawberry cake with buttercream icing and fondant strawberries and flowers. Turned out beautiful, and the birthday girl, I was told, LOVED it!!

In 2002 I began my first venture into making cakes. It all began as a spur of the moment deal when the lady who was to be making my sisters wedding cake had cancelled due to unforseen cicrumstances. At that point I had only done a few character cakes and decorated very little, just through family and for fun.

So my mother called me and said this,
"Holly, I have a favor to ask of you."
"Yes Mother," I excitedly replied.
"I need you to think about making Heathers wedding cake!"

In my mind I was thinking, "Woman, are you outta your mind? I have no clue how to even start doing something that big and elaborate."

This cake Heather had chosen was 7 layers, very intricate and detailed.

A day or two later, I had made my decision.
I called mother and told her to that I would make Heathers cake and I hope that it didn't turn out to be a complete disaster. And for her to have a back-up plan just in case.

A month later, On Saturday May 25th, 2002, I proudly showcased my first ever wedding cake to around 150 eager family and friends. Even i was in awe at my talent and spectacular outcome of this fabulous cake.

From that day forward, I began my small career of baking and decorating cakes that takes me into my own little world and allows me to showcase my talent and creativity that I have had boxed up in me for so many years.

So for the young at heart and for those who enjoy complete and udder talent and spectacular cake, enjoy my blogging site.
